What You Focus On Expands

vision board (2)“What you focus on expands, and when you focus on the goodness in your life, you create more of it. Opportunities, relationships, even money flowed my way when I learned to be grateful no matter what happened in my life.”  Oprah Winfrey

Every month at the Positive Thinkers Network, we close our meetings with the affirmation, “What you think about, you bring about.”  Whether we want to create positive relationships, brilliant opportunities or flowing finances, we need to take the time to envision ourselves having exactly what we want.  One helpful method is to find pictures detailing the specifics of what you want out of life and pasting them on a large sheet, thereby creating your own vision board.  (Make sure you put a picture of yourself in the midst of all that goodness).  Place the board where you can see it every day and imagine yourself in possession of the items pictured.

We can all agree that Oprah is a pretty successful woman, and yet when you read her story, you realize that she was certainly not silver-spoon fed.  Oprah made a decision to concentrate on the goodness that she had in her life, and by starting there, she was able to create an empire.

Maybe we won’t climb as high on the financial ladder as the Oprah’s of the world, but we can all learn the lesson of focusing on the good stuff.           Any type of vision board will work – I happen to have mine on PowerPoint and I have pictures of it on my phone.  Gives me easy access, anytime, anywhere!

Have fun,

Lisa
