“Thoughts become things. Choose the good ones.” Mike Dooley
If you’re not familiar with Mike Dooley, he is the author of a daily email called “Notes from the Universe” (http://www.tut.com/account/register) I’ve been getting these notes every day since 2006 and they always start my day off on a positive note.
Consider that you CHOOSE how you feel at any given time. When you are having a bad day, and your thoughts are negative, doesn’t it seem like you attract more bad things into your life? It’s true.
On the other hand, when you can get to gratitude, when you change your thoughts to the positive, or when you are experiencing the pleasures of a fantastic day, you are attracting a much happier, more fulfilling day. What you think about, you bring about – literally.
Just for today – put a rubber band on your wrist. When a negative thought comes into your mind, “snap” yourself out of it, by snapping the rubber band against your wrist (lightly, don’t hurt yourself, for goodness sake!). Consciously change your thought to a more positive one and notice how much better you feel. You may be surprised at how often you are snapping yourself. Once you are aware of this habit, you can CHOOSE to change it to one that is more positive.
Have fun,
Lisa
