Enjoy the Little Things as One Day They Will Be Big Things

“Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.” Robert Brault

There wasn’t one big thing for me to be grateful for this week, but there were many little ones. Here are a few of them…

It was a beautiful Monday, and I took my dad for a walk around the grounds in his wheelchair. As we stopped at a bench under some trees where we could watch the water, the fountain, and the geese, dad took my hand and held it tight. So we sat and simply enjoyed nature while holding hands.

My great-niece and nephew were born on May 28th, 2017 – they were supposed to come into the world on August 17th. Kenny weighed in at 2 pounds, 16 ounces, and Klaire was 2 pounds 2 ounces when the twins were born. We celebrated birthday number seven with them this week, and they are full of life, joy, and energy.

Because I love what I do, it never feels like work to me. So I work – a lot. This week, I took off for several hours of self-care at a local place called Recharge. That’s precisely what I do while there. Whether in the sensory deprivation tank or receiving red light therapy, it’s the only place I cannot work.

What little things are you grateful for this week?

Have fun,

Lisa

PS – And when you have four great-nieces and a great-nephew at the same birthday party, THAT’S a lot of energy!
