The best way to pay for a lovely moment is to enjoy it.

Imagine that you’ve just checked into your hotel room. It’s exquisite. As you’re looking around, you notice a door is open. You walk into your very own parlor – couch, love seat, TV – a lovely sitting area! But wait, another door is open… It’s another bedroom!

Wow! You must be a total rock star to rate a sweet suite like this! As you bask in the glow of self-importance, you go so far as to take out your phone and video the whole scene. You can’t wait to tell EVERYONE about this awesomeness.

You leave the room to connect with your customers for high tea – yes, it’s THAT kind of place. You go back to the suite to get ready for dinner and that when you notice – uh oh, the hotel must have corrected its a mistake. Your parlor door is now locked, and you must go back to just being a regular guest. Bummer.

What do you do? Do you get mad? Disappointed? Upset? Or do you choose to laugh?

Yes, this is what happened to me this week. Quite funny to see how quickly things can change. I’m grateful I have the video. I’m thankful that I did not “move in” to the other people’s part of the suite. I’m happy that I got to experience that feeling of “rock stardom” – even if only for a brief, shining moment.

No matter what happens, enjoy the moment, however long it lasts!

Have fun,

Lisa
