We are so often caught up in our destination that we forget to appreciate the journey.

Some weeks are just busier than others. I had one of those weeks – leaving on a Monday and going from Salt Lake City, UT to Boise, ID, to Columbus, Ohio, to Palm Beach Gardens, FL. A lot of travel, and not a lot of sleep were involved, so I wasn’t necessarily excited about my schedule.

During this hectic week, everything fell into place. I had dinner in Boise with a friend who recently moved there. My NSA Board members and volunteers took care of everything I needed during our meeting in Columbus, and I tacked on an extra day for some R&R while I was in Florida. It worked out exactly the way it was supposed to.

Sometimes we get so caught up in all the things we need to get done that we forget to enjoy the journey. Slow down, connect with friends, and take some time for yourself. Things always work out, sometimes we just need to trust the process.

Have fun,

Lisa
