“Count your blessings with gratitude no matter how small or big they are, and stop letting your lacks blindfold you from noticing how blessed that you are.” Edmond Mbiaka
One of my subscribers asked me the question, “What if you’re literally just grateful for the same thing every day? Does that count?”
Because this is a question I get asked a lot, I wanted to cover it here…
Yes, it does count. Every time you look for the good, you are doing good for yourself and others. AND – here’s how you can kick it up a notch…
Just add some details to the “same things” every day. For example, I’m always grateful for my husband, Scott. Sometimes I’ll write I’m grateful for our date night; I’m grateful for his support; I’m grateful for him cooking dinner; I’m grateful for him taking me to the airport… Same person, different ways to be grateful.
That extra minute or two that you focus on the details of your appreciation, creates a deeper, stronger connection to your source of gratitude.
Have fun,
Lisa
PS – You can always add detail to the things you are thankful for. The best question to ask is “Why am I grateful for this?”
