My Thoughts:  Employees don’t leave their job, they leave their boss. Any engagement strategy starts at the top – and a sincere commitment and buy-in from leadership matters.

My Thoughts:  This article is a must-read to learn the seven questions that managers should be asking their employees. Wouldn’t it be nice to know things like, “What motivates you to come to work every day?”

(Greater Good Science Center) “A new field of research is suggesting that when organizations promote an ethic of compassion rather than a culture of stress, they may not only see a happier workplace but also an improved bottom line.”

My thoughts:  There is a level of vulnerability that goes along with showing compassion in the workplace. When managers are willing to show they care, employees’ commitment to the company grows exponentially.
