A regular practice of gratitude takes practice and commitment. Michelle shares that when it comes to her recognition practices, “I have all good intentions, but as a working mother of three kids under 10, I just never seem to have enough hours in the day or week to do them. I finally decided to do something special related to gratitude pulling from ideas in your e-mails.
“I chose to post on Facebook each day the name of one friend/ family member to whom I was grateful for in my life. In each post, I detail the history of our relationship, what makes it special to me including positive traits about them I admire. In this day and age, we do not thank people enough or tell those that we love how grateful we are for them and what they bring to our lives.”
Michelle is not only making a difference in her life, she is also positively affecting the people that she loves by letting them know how much she appreciates them. What can you do to brighten someone else’s day today?
