“The more one does and sees and feels, the more one is able to do, and the more genuine may be one’s appreciation of fundamental things like home, and love, and understanding companionship.” Amelia Earhart
Sometimes you just have a bad day – it’s what you do with the emotions of that negative situation that can make all the difference.
I was coming off of a difficult day of training. For the most part, the class was great. However, there were a few people who just didn’t want to be there and they took out a good portion of their frustration on me. It happens.
Based on my current negative mood, I had a choice to make. Do I call my husband and let him know what a miserable day I was having, or do I call one of my mastermind “Vent Buddies” and get it out of my system before subjecting Scott to my ire? I chose the latter – thank goodness!
A mastermind group celebrates with you when things are going well, and they are there to talk you off the ledge when things aren’t. Think about it, why would you want to take out your frustration on a significant other who loves you and misses you when you’re away from home? By choosing to connect with people who have first-hand knowledge of the situations you deal with on a regular basis, you’ll get the friendly ear you need, the encouraging support you want, and the quality ideas you can use to do better next time.
If you don’t already have a mastermind group, consider the many benefits you’ll receive by connecting with like-minded people to help you achieve your goals. Someone is waiting for you to approach them and ask. Take action today for a better tomorrow.
Have fun,
Lisa
